Im using eclipse and it only accepts file names a-z0-9_. Installed re installed updated to the latest version but nothing seems to work can you please even if i build a new project I get the same error I have installed Using a capital letter in your XML filenames will also cause that problem. If you change your AndroidManifest.xml package name, sometimes Eclipse does not update all of these added imports.

wcre8tive Purchased over 2 years ago Hi Paul. For me it was an issue with the xml file, due to the API level I was using. Some missing resource in the strings.xml file. This will produce the "R cannot be resolved" error.
