This can be a common problem but it’s not so horrible to solve it.
When I ran psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -wait -force it kept failing. This time it completed without errors and on reboot the site now *seems* ok (just seeing some weird formatting problems on our site which may or may not be related). But of course... Your most important ones are the admin database and the sharewebdb.
